Finding the teaching resources you need in the library

This article tells you how to find, and check out, specific titles so that you can access the teaching resources you need, whenever you need them.

This article is for TEACHERS. 📚🍎

The digital library in Engage comes with thousands of ebooks, including e-textbooks and teacher guides, to set you and your students up for success. 📝✔️

We know that teachers are often stretched to capacity, so we’ve made sure that finding the resources you need is quick and easy in Engage. 😁

This is how you find and borrow ebooks from the library:

  1. Navigate to ‘Library’ when logged in to Engage.
  2. Use the ‘Collections’ and ‘Categories’ sections, or the 'Recommended' or 'Favourites' tabs in the 'Browse' section, to browse pre-populated titles – or use the search bar at the top of your screen to search for a title, author, or ISBN.

To refine your search, or to find more search options, click 'Advanced' to the right of the search bar. Once you've typed in your search details, click 'Search' or hit 'Enter' on your keyboard.

  3. Once you’ve found a title you’d like to check out of the library, select the green ‘Check Out’ button.
  4. Once you’ve checked out an ebook, the title will appear under ‘My Books’ in Engage, and will be available to download and read when you log in to the Snapplify Reader app. Note that the number of books you can check out at one time, and the time you’re allowed to borrow them for, will be set by your school’s librarian.

👉 If the ebook you're interested in reading is not currently available in your library, you can click the ‘Request Book’ button to let your librarian know that you wish to borrow this title.

Did you know that we’ve also hooked you up with free and discounted teaching resources? 🍏📚 Check out our Teacher Benefits feature in Engage.
