Using annotations and Snapplify Journal

Once you’ve made in-text annotations, you can access these later and find everything in one place.

Annotations

iOS and Android

To see a summary list of all your annotations (i.e. notes and highlights) in a particular ebook using iOS or Android:

  1. Open the book that you would like to refer to.
  2. Tap on the ‘Book’ icon at the top of your screen, and then select ‘Annotations’.

Journal

Journal allows you to review all your notes and highlights, in full, in one place – similar to ‘Annotations’, but more reader-friendly, as it can be read as one continuous note page (rather than linking through to different areas of the book, like the annotations option). Journal can be used for final revision, to draw all of your most crucial points from the book into one space. Journal even allows users to link text in books to external links for easy reference.

Journal will show you all of your annotations and comments in full, in a list view.

Journal is also collaborative, so resources that are shared by teachers via ‘Groups’ in Engage will include any notes and highlights created for students by their teachers.
