Minimum device specifications

When using the following minimum device specifications, the reader app will work but it may be underperforming on specific devices:

  • Windows 64bit
  • Quad-core processor (at least 1.4 GHz or equivalent) 
  • At least 8GB RAM
  • At least 2GB of internal storage
Newer devices typically have a longer technology lifespan due to ongoing operating system updates and improved hardware.

If you're a student beginning your studies or planning to use your device for several years, consider investing in a higher-end device for better performance and longevity.

Apple has dropped support for all devices with less than 2GB of RAM, which includes the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, iPod Touch (6th generation), iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini 3, and iPad Air for iOS 13.


Recommended device specifications

When using the following recommended device specifications, the reader app will work as expected:

  • Octa-core processor or Intel i5 (or equivalent) 
  • At least 16GB RAM
  • At least 5GB of internal storage
