This article is for LIBRARIANS who also have the FINANCE role.
If you need to buy all of the titles on a library list simultaneously, we've made it easy to do so. You can purchase multiple books directly from a library list using your institution's Engage credit.
Only users with the Finance role are able to spend the institution's credit in Engage.
To buy multiple titles on a library list
- Log in to Engage and navigate to the 'Library'.
- In the Librarian section, select 'Library Lists'.
- Select the relevant library list to open it, then click the 'Review Order' button. (If you need to, you can also add more books to your library list before reviewing your order by clicking 'Add Library Title'.)
On the Review Order page, check that everything is correct. If you wish to remove any of the titles, click the associated remove icon. Once you're ready to finalise the purchase, click the 'Complete Order' button.
Click 'Yes' in the pop-up to allow the library list total to be deducted from your institution's Engage account balance.
On successful payment, the titles will be added to your library and users will be able to check them out immediately.
We recommend favouriting books you have purchased to help users locate these easily, you can do this from the library list by selecting all the titles you wish to favourite and clicking the yellow star.
If your institution uses quotes and invoices from library lists to approve library purchases, here's how to complete your internal invoice requests in Engage.
