To allow seamless access to Snapplify Engage via your institutional login, integrate your EZProxy server with Snapplify using the steps below.

Step by step instructions

Step 1: Access the EZProxy Configuration

  1. Open the Snapplify Admin Dashboard.
  2. Select Apps > EZProxy.


Step 2: Copy the Configuration Stanza


In the EZProxy section, you will find a Platform Configuration stanza. Copy the block exactly and paste it into your EZProxy configuration file (usually config.txt or ezproxy.cfg).

Step 3: Restart Your EZProxy Server


After updating the config file Restart the EZProxy service for changes to take effect.


Step 4: Test the Integration

  1. From a device on your network, go to
    https://ezproxy.yourschool.edu/login?url=https://yourschool.snapplify.com
  2. Log in using institutional credentials.
  3. You should be redirected and logged into Engage.


How the Authentication Works

  • Users authenticate via your internal login system (LDAP, SAML, etc.).
  • EZProxy validates the login and sends headers.
  • Snapplify checks those headers and IP/domain, then grants access.
