Once you've completed the integration of Snapplify with Schoology, you can start using deep links to your content or Engage platform directly within your courses and groups. This article guides educators on how to use the Snapplify-Schoology Integration to make digital learning easier for students.
Accessing Snapplify Engage in Schoology
You’ll find Snapplify Engage listed in your Schoology Apps section. You can:
- Launch Snapplify Engage from My Apps
- Or link to it directly within a course or group
This lets learners access the Engage homepage or a custom URL you've added. If they aren’t logged in, they’ll be automatically signed in.
Linking to Specific Content from Engage
To guide learners to relevant materials:
- Go to your course in Schoology.
- Use Add Materials > Add File/Link/External Tool
- Choose Snapplify Engage as the Tool Provider.
- Add a custom URL from within Snapplify Engage (e.g., a digital library collection).
- Set launch options to “Open in new browser tab” and save.
This ensures students land directly on the intended content instead of browsing manually.
Creating Deep Links in Assignments or Modules
You can also use "Insert Content" inside an assignment, page, or discussion to link directly to a textbook, Library book, or list of books to purchase.
This removes extra steps and allows learners to:
- Access what they need instantly
- Stay focused on learning outcomes
Importing Content from Snapplify
You can import learning content from Snapplify Engage via Resource Apps:
- Select Snapplify Engage from the Resources tab.
- Choose a group (e.g., “Grade 10 Core Subjects”).
- Select and add a link to the relevant materials.
Reading Content in Snapplify
When learners access a book:
- They’ll see a Read button.
- If the Snapplify Reader isn’t installed, they’ll be prompted to download it.
- Once opened, the book will load directly in their reader.
