What is AI OK?
AI OK is a tool in Engage that helps you understand whether your writing looks like it may have been influenced by artificial intelligence. It gives feedback that helps you write better on your own.
The tool checks things like:
- If your vocabulary is at your grade level
- How natural your tone and sentence flow is
- Whether your writing sounds too much like a robot
- How personalized and culturally relevant your words are
Note: AI OK works online. Make sure you have an internet connection when using it.
Step 1: Log in to Engage
- Go to Snapplify Engage and sign in with your account.
Step 2: Open the AI OK tool
- From the top navigation menu, select AI
- and open AI OK by selecting the icon in the left navigation panel
Step 3: Paste Your Writing
- Paste your paragraph, essay, or any writing you want help with.
Step 4: Review the Results
You’ll get a report with helpful feedback:
Is your writing at your expected grade level?
Does it sound natural and clear?
Are your word choices too generic or robotic?
Use the feedback to revise your writing and make it more natural, original, and personal.

- You can paste the updated version to see if the score improves.

Here’s what feedback might look like:
Your text sounds formal and slightly robotic. Try using contractions and more personal words to make it sound like you.
You can then rewrite:
Before: "One must ensure that all tasks are completed."
After: "Make sure everything’s done."
Tip: How to Improve Based on Feedback
If your writing sounds:
