This article is for Lecturers who are setting up content links in a third party LMS course.

This link will need to be set up for each book in each module

This article will explain how to set up the Engage LTI Deep Link so that your students are able to launch from each course in your LMS into the Reader application to read linked content.

Before you can set up the Engage LTI Deep Link in your course, your administrator will need to set up prescribed lists and groups in the Engage instance. Once this is completed, your administrator will create an external learning tool. The setup may look slightly different in your specific LMS but once you have located your deep link the functionality is the same.

Setting up an Engage LTI Deep Link in a module

  1. From your course module e.g. Prescribed and Recommended Reading, select Activities and select your External Learning Tool
  2. Choose the configured Snapplify Engage Deep Link option
  3. You’ll be able to search for the titles you require for your course. Select the relevant group in Engage and select the title you require

  4. Once you have found the title you require, select Create Link to input the Deep Link to this title in your module

It is recommended that the deep linking is used in conjunction with Pre-purchased prescribed lists so that the student or lecturer can be provisioned the title(s) when they launch. Once the link is created the user will be redirected to the title(s). If the user has the reader downloaded they will be signed in automatically and directed to their book once downloaded.
